In his most recent role, he served as the Vice President of Domestic Trust Services (DTS) for specialty assets, where he led teams in the complex field of Trusts and Estates specialty asset management. Utilizing his diverse skill set, Will has been adept at implementing and executing strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing business processes, procedures, and tools. In previous roles, Will gained nearly a decade of hands-on experience in the oil and gas sector, specializing in acquisitions, investment due diligence, title review, GIS mapping, and curative work. Combining legal acumen with industry-specific expertise, Will is a valuable asset to any team and client seeking to navigate the complexities of asset management in the oil and gas sector.

Matt Autry is the President of Valor

Matt possesses 15 years of oil and gas industry experience that ranges from working as a landman to owning and managing minerals. He held managerial landman positions at King Operating, King Royalty, and Equinor (formerly Brigham Exploration/Statoil). Matt’s primary focus has been on the land management side of business, including mergers, trades, acquisitions and divestitures in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and North Dakota. He also has experience in leasing, preparing units for drilling opportunities and managing the acquisition and development of mineral packages. Matt obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ashford University.

Ashlyn Barney is a Senior Land Analyst at Valor

Ashlyn Barney is a Registered Landmand, and has over 5 years working in the Oil and Gas Industry. A majority of her experience is in acquisitions, divestitures, leasing and mineral and leasehold title examination. Ashlyn has conducted due diligence for multi-billion-dollar acquisitions in various states including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Jason Beck is a Certified Professional Landman and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor with extensive experience in servicing Trusts, Agencies and Foundations over his career. He was the Executive Director and Regional Manager of Mineral Asset Management for JPMorgan Chase for 17 years and oversaw all areas of mineral management. Jason received his BS from West Texas A&M University in Agricultural Business & Economics and holds a Petroleum Land Practice certification from Texas Christian University.

Aaron Calhoun is a Land and Mineral Manager at Valor

Aaron possesses over a decade of experience in land management and has a unique understanding of land owners' mindsets and how they operate. A native Texan who hails from Abilene, Aaron maintains strong ties in West Texas and has worked for various ranch owners in the oil and mineral-rich Permian region. Joseph DeWoody is the Co-Founder, CEO and CTO of Valor

Joseph, the 2021 D CEO Energy Services and Technology Executive of the Year, has acquired and managed thousands of oil and gas interests during his career. He brings extensive experience in oil and gas exploration, production, investment, development and management and is a Certified Mineral Manager (CMM) and a Certified Professional Landman (CPL). Joseph is a life member of American Mensa and the National Society of Washington Family Descendants. He received his BBA and MBA from Baylor University, where he played football. He has also completed the Colorado School of Mines Petroleum SuperSchool. Joseph was appointed to the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and he serves as director of the National Association of Royalty Owners — Texas. He was named one of Oil and Gas Investor Magazine’s “Top 20 Under 40” and was featured in the Dallas Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Energy.”

Teresa has 14 years of extensive experience in month-end revenue closing, account reconciliations, JIB accounting, invoicing and billing, monthly severance and royalty filing and reporting, regulatory compliance, ad-hoc reporting and research and variance analysis. Teresa possesses the ability to effectively utilize oil and gas related software and sites such as WolfePak, Quorum, Oildex, EnergyLink and PDS. Prior to Valor, she has worked in various accounting roles for P2 Energy Solutions, Wagner Oil Company, MineralWare and Bank of Texas.

Hanna Howard is the Chief of Staff at Valor

Hanna has 15 years in the college coaching profession, having spent the past eight as the Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Women’s Basketball program at Texas Christian University. Her involvement in all elements of strategic planning for on-court success, resulting in 13 winning seasons, 11 postseason appearances, and 5 conference championships, will bring immediate value to her role as Valor’s Chief of Staff. Howard’s ability to develop and recruit talent produced 38 Big 12 All-Conference Honors while at TCU, 5 Conference Players of the Year, 3 All-American Honors, and recognition as the #6 nationally ranked recruiting class in 2016. Hanna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Portland, where she played college basketball, and received her master’s degree from Concordia University, Irvine in Coaching and Athletic Administration and Sports Science.

Liz Jang is the Director of CPG and Valor Ignite at Valor

Liz brings a number of talents to the Valor team with expertise in operations, strategic planning, marketing, and customer service. She previously served as regional director for one of YPO's (formerly Young Presidents' Organization) largest regions in addition to other managerial roles over her 13-year tenure. As regional director she facilitated over 30 strategic planning sessions and oversaw the expansion and development of four new markets in the region as well as two additional emerging markets. Prior to YPO, Liz worked in commercial real estate property management. Liz obtained a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in business from Texas A&M University.

Hannah brings nearly a decade of experience to her role as Director of Marketing. She previously worked with brands such as Chick-fil-A, Neiman Marcus, Abercrombie & Fitch and Cook Children's Health Care System. She has extensive experience in preparing and leading strategies rooted in both traditional and digital marketing tactics. Hannah also spent time working at the Richards Group and iProspect. Hannah received a BS in Psychology and a BS in Communication Studies from Texas Christian University.

Working as a Lease Analyst, Land Supervisor Assistant and Division Order Manager for companies such as Quicksilver Resources, Union Pacific Resources, and Clear Fork Royalty. Mimi brings a wealth of land related experience to Valor. She has experience on all sides of oil and gas and has worked for oil and gas operators as well as mineral and royalty owners. Her ability to navigate the land and division orders departments of large oil and gas companies is unparalleled.

With experience as a fourth generation mineral rights owner and acquisitions landman, John has put his entrepreneurial skills to good use. His expertise was recognized in the inaugural class of the Fort Worth Business Press “20 In Their 20's.” He is a member of the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate, and is a board member at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club. John received his BA in entrepreneurial management and BS in applied geoscience with a minor in energy technology management from Texas Christian University. As the fourth generation in her family to work in the Oil and Gas Industry, Claire brings technical and cultivated knowledge, both essential to her role as the Director of West Texas at Valor. Having worked for a prominent mineral owner in Texas, Claire understands the challenges, level of work, and attention to detail the job requires. She has five and a half years of experience as a Business Manager and devoted eight years of her career to J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Texas. Claire and her family have resided in Midland for over ten years - the home to major crude oil hubs in the Permian Basin. As Director of West Texas, she will manage Valor's second location, work face-to-face with local clients, and act as Valor's representative in Midland.

Tim Stackpole is a Staff Accountant at Valor

Tim earned his Bachelors of Arts in History from the University of North Texas and Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Tarleton University. Prior to his role at Valor, Tim worked as a Senior Accountant for an operating company that managed Skilled Nursing Facilities, responsible for monthly financial preparation and regulatory reporting. Additionally, Stackpole worked for a CPA firm where he assisted clients in varying industries, gaining exposure to a diverse set of accounting needs. She possesses substantial interpersonal communication & organizational skills as a result of her background and career experience. She has held positions at Double Eagle Energy, XTO, Hunt Oil Company and Quinn Resources.
